About Ryien

My name is Ryien Smith, a Hard of Hearing Lynchburg native with a passion for creativity and inclusivity.

Over the past 5 years I’ve done content creation, web design, planning & styling for photo & video shoots, as well as personal shopping. You can find a portfolio of my work here.

Thank you for checking out my little corner of the internet. Feel free to explore my website, and don't forget to check out my social media accounts.

  • I am a wife, fine artist and mother to four kitty kiddos. In 2022 I founded my passion project—For The Deaf Girl. Our blog and community for dDeaf & Hard of Hearing women was created to make space for intentional, accessible and inclusive community.

I’m also a Bridal Stylist, Historical Preservationist Intern, and nanny for a profoundly deaf kiddo.

In my spare time, you can find me painting or modeling. I have modeled for many Lynchburg local stores, as well as other online brands. I’m currently published in the 2022 Central Virginia Bridal Guide and the August issue of Southern Living Magazine.

  • I’m a multi passionate gal. From bridal styling, to photography and designing, I have over five years experience in the content creation industry.

I helped start up a visual branding company in 2020, and two years later left to finish my degree and pursue my creative dreams.

I’m currently studying Communications at Liberty University, and recently launched an inclusive accessibility brand called For The Deaf Girl.
